Care For Your Silk
Before washing, read the instructions & don't forget to use your dream mesh laundry bag!
Use the Right Detergent
Always wash your silk with a pH neutral liquid detergent. This type of detergent is gentle on silk fibers and helps preserve the fabric's natural properties.
Machine Wash Delicate
Set your washing machine to a delicate cycle at 30°C (86°F). Use a low spin to prevent excessive wringing.
Use Protective 6FIFTYTWO® Dream Mesh Laundry Bag
For optimal protection, place your silk items inside our 6FIFTYTWO® protective mesh bag before washing. This bag is available for purchase and helps prevent snagging and tangling during the wash cycle.
Drying
Do not tumble dry silk. The high heat and agitation of a dryer can cause shrinkage and damage. Instead, lay the item flat on a drying rack or hang it up to air dry away from direct sunlight.
Ironing
If ironing is necessary, use a low heat setting and preferably iron while the fabric is still slightly damp. You can steam or dry iron, but be gentle to avoid scorching the silk.
Dry Cleaning
Silk can be dry cleaned, but ensure that the cleaner does not use trichloroethylene, which can degrade silk fibers.
Avoid Bleach
Never use bleach on silk as it can damage the fibers & alter the colour of the fabric
